What it iz everyone?!
Sounds like it is nothing but good times and summer
vibes coming from back home which is what I like to see yall! I hope everyone
keeps enjoying the summer and all the fun activities that come with it!
This week was pretty dope you could say. The homeboi
Wezi and the homegirl Martinha got baptized on Saturday! After a couple visits
in the morning on Saturday, Elder Souza and I went to set up things for the
baptism at the Chamanculo Chapel but because of that scumbag Satan, there was
no water to fill up the font haha. Too bad Satan doesn’t know that missionary
work is like the Princeton Offense and there is always another way to score. So,
we had to hurry and get on the phone and tell everyone that we would be doing
the baptism at the Sommerschield Chapel. We got it all worked out and set up
and the baptism ran smoothly.
Everyone we are teaching right now are doing great.
Carlos and his family are working towards getting all their documents ready to
open up the wedding process so that they can get married and baptized all
together. Benjamin aka the Mozambican Ryan Gosling is progressing well and
everything should be ready for his baptism on the 29th of July. We have been
blessed with teaching some really prepared people lately and through the Book
of Mormon they have been able to feel the Spirit confirm all that we have been
sharing.
These past couple of weeks I have been studying a lot
about Alma and Amulek's mission to Ammoniah (Alma 8-16). For a couple days, I didn’t
really understand why the Lord had sent Alma back to Ammoniah after being
rejected once to only be rejected again with Amulek's help. But then I realized
that in chapter 15 is when the blessings came from Alma and Amulek' struggles.
The church in Sidom was able to be established and many were brought unto
Christ. I was able to see that sometimes the Lord will put us through things
that in present don’t make sense but later we will be able to see why. Whether
it is to help us personally or to help others in the future. God's plan always has makes sense but it is
just up to us to enjoy what He gives us in that moment. "When the focus of
our lives is on Jesus Christ and His gospel, we can feel joy regardless of what
is happening—or not happening—in our lives." - President Russell M.
Nelson.
Love you guys! Have radical week!
